Antique Japanese Boro indigo cotton scarf with an extremely satisfying amount of distressing, sashiko stitching, and patches.
Both sides feature extensive original sashiko stitching and some more sashiko stitching added by me for additional reinforcement where needed. At least two layers of fabric with the patches adding additional layers over a large portion of the scarf.
Raw edge ends secured by a row of horizontal sashiko stitching to prevent additional fraying.
Measures 84" x 8".
Gorgeous distressed condition! A couple of gauzy areas where the cotton is slightly sheer when held up to the light. Please use the zoom feature to view condition closely.
