Created in my Brooklyn studio, this sculpture is part of the 'Stories' series, launched in 2024. Made from antique Japanese book fragments, each piece has been carefully curated for its unique distress, fading, and markings.

Inspired by the aesthetics and craftsmanship of 19th-century Japanese culture, this work is an homage to the beauty of imperfection, the passage of time, and the signs that an object has been used and enjoyed in everyday life. Measuring 52.5 inches by 28 inches, the sculpture invites you to explore the layers of meaning within, including the stories of the books, their past owners, and your own connections. 'Stories in Yellow 01' is a celebration of the narratives that shape us and a reminder of how they intertwine.
